Damage assessments were continuing in Midland, Michigan, on Friday, May 22, days after the failure of two dams caused widespread flooding and forced thousands of people to evacuate. Drone pilot Noah Brown captured footage showing the extent of the flooding around both the Sanford Dam and the Edenville Dam. His footage also shows a bridge over Wixom Lake that was partially washed away by the floodwater. Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency for Midland County on Tuesday and told those in affected areas to leave and go “somewhere safe.” Credit: Noah Brown via Storyful
