
Storm chaser Marcus Diaz reported some “amazing supercells” in southwest Kansas on May 21. The most impressive of them was what he called “this beast”, captured in Santanta near sunset. Diaz’s video shows lightning flashing behind the looming cloud, but also forks outside it, for a remarkable effect. “The storm moved very slowly,” Diaz told Storyful, “and had almost constant lightning coming from it.” Credit: Marcus Diaz via Storyful
