
An Alaskan man threw mugs of hot water into freezing air, creating a stunning visual effect, on December 4. Michael Williams stepped outside his Anchorage home, where the temperature was -10 Fahrenheit, and created what he called a “heaven’s gate” by tossing cups of boiling water into the air. The water transforms into a frozen mist as it meets the icy air, video shows. “The low angle of the sun gives the illusion of looking larger than normal,” Williams told Storyful.
